Craft Beer Festival Scheduled to Benefit Local Children’s Charity

15 breweries on tap to help celebrate organization’s 30th anniversary

Shoreline, WA – On Saturday, April 12, 2014, RiteCare of WA is hosting the 2nd Annual “Beer and Brats” Beer Fest to benefit their free speech therapy program for young children. The event will take place at the Seattle Scottish Rite Masonic Center at 1207 North 152nd Street, Shoreline. The festival runs from noon to 5 p.m. with presale tickets at $30 each available at Brown Paper Tickets.  Tickets are also available at the door for $35. Entry fee includes 7 tastes, a full bratwurst lunch (vegetarian option as well) raffle ticket and commemorative event glass. Extra tastes and raffle tickets can be purchased at the event. Designated drivers tickets are also available for $15.

Breweries include Hilliard’s Beer, Fremont Brewing Company, Diamond Knot Brewing Company, Big E’s Ales, Seapine Brewing Company, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Fort George, Deschutes, Mac and Jac’s, Maritime Pacific, Brickyard Brewing, Georgetown Brewing, Sound Brewery, Sierra Nevada, Samuel Smith and Lindemans from Merchant Du Vin.

Coinciding with their 30th anniversary, the Beer Festival is one of the signature fundraising events to provide support for RiteCare of WA. The charity provides intensive professional speech and language therapy to children at no cost to families. Since 1984, RiteCare of WA has been able to provide help for children and families. RiteCare of WA relies solely on private donations to provide this free service, events like the Beer Fest are critical to their continued success – and the success of young children struggling to communicate.

RiteCare of Washington currently operates two clinics staffed by RiteCare employees, one in the Seattle area and the other in Spokane. RiteCare also provide services in seven other communities throughout the state contracting with independent therapists, clinics and hospitals to provide services for children. All RiteCare speech language pathologists (SLPs) have advanced degrees in speech therapy, are certified by ASHA, licensed to practice in the State of Washington and have extensive experience working with children. A child helped by RiteCare of WA receives services valued at $25,000. Since 1984, more than 2,000 children have been helped by RiteCare of WA.
