3 new breweries added and 1 old brewery removed

I just updated the map on our Washington Breweries and Brewpubs page. As we reported yesterday, San Juan Brewing has closed. We added three new breweries to the list, all of which had their microbrewery licenses approved by the state within the past month. There are other breweries out there currently in the approval process. We’ll add them as soon as they’ve been approved by the state.

Here’s a summary of the changes we made to the map and list of Washington’s Breweries and Brewpubs. For those of you keeping score at home…

Gilligans Brewing is in fact not in business at the previous location (on the bike path in the storage unit). I spoke with the brewers, and they are looking for a new location. More info can be found on their site : http://gilligansbrewingcompany.blogspot.com/

Yep. That’s why our entry for Gilligan’s said, “Still licensed but out of business.” I have now changed the entry to include no address other than “Seattle, WA” to help eliminate any further confusion. Thanks for the heads up.

    Any news about Water Street?

Relocation? (Water Street not on Water Street)
    Reincarnation?

Here’s the last thing we’ve heard from Water Street. From their Facebook page on August 3rd: “Once, we rose to the highest peaks of jubulent mountain tops, where we basked in the sun god’s glow. Eventually we navigated very slippery slopes, often by the seat of our pants. Sure, we would stop, often, for a cold brew or three. Still, though, we travelled downhill. Sometimes, without our consent. Finally, reaching… the bottom, we spied our ‘Happy Valley’. Visualize ‘Happy Valley’! We do.”
