  1. p.s. Not listed in that posting, but we also got out a row of bottles of Dieu du Ciel! Équinoxe Du Printemps (Scotch style w/maple syrup), three Route de Espices (peppercorn rye beer), a case of Sierra Nevada Bigfoot 2010, a case of Mad River John Barleycorn Barleywine, and a couple of bottles of Victory’s Old Horizontal.

  2. About the BrewDog Paradox Series…
When aged in whisky barrels, the beers take on characteristics of the whiskies. Here’s info on each of the whiskies used for aging the BrewDog Paradox Series stouts:
    • Isle of Arran: Fruity, peaty, vanilla (www.arranwhisky.com)
    • Bowmore: Rum…my, peaty, smoky, toffee (www.bowmore.com)
    • Ardbeg: Peaty, earthy, toffee|chocolate (www.ardbeg.com)
    • SmokeHead: Peaty, smoky, vigorous (www.smokehead.co.uk)
All are perfect for serving in a snifter, and the guy (or gal) who likes to kick back with a cigar and a fine whisky-aged stout.
