A bunch of new beers and other news from Kulshan Brewing

Just learned about a whole bunch of new beers from Kulshan Brewing. Some are in bottles/cans, some are draft-only beers available at the company’s two locations in Bellingham. Below, details about all the beers.

Also, Kulshan is opening a new outdoor space at the Roosevelt location (K2). The opening of the Keg Yard takes place this Saturday with all-day happy hour pricing,  food truck (Hot Mess), beer garden games, and live music from 5:00-9:00.

Raspberry Gose
Bright and highly sessionable, this Raspberry Gose pays homage to Northwest Washington’s unbeatable long summer days and the hardworking raspberry farmers of Whatcom County. Slight tartness melds perfectly with notes of fresh raspberries creating a delicious experience that will appeal to any palate. On tap at Roosevelt and in cans at both locations.

Sunnyland Stomp IPA
The Sunnyland neighborhood is truly one of Bellingham’s special places so it seemed only fitting to brew a beer to pay homage to this funky corner of town, and express our gratitude for being part of it. Similar to our classic Sunnyland IPA, but with some serious haze and big tropical fruit and berry notes, this is a bright and joyous beer, tailor-made for this neighborhood. On tap at Sunnyland and in bottles at both locations.

Inspiration IPA
A finely crafted NW-Style IPA, Inspiration features an assertive hop profile that is nicely balanced by bready and smooth malt notes. Aromas of pine, tangerine, and apricot dance out of the glass to greet the nose, accompanied by light notes of sage and lemongrass. On the tongue, this beer is clean and dry, with slight lingering bitterness and robust citrus and pine flavor notes, making for a classic and smooth drinking IPA. On tap at Roosevelt and in bottles at both locations.

Bingo Bango IIPA
Folks, beer should be fun, and we gotta say, this beer is a whole lot of fun. Big and bold, it offers just enough bready malt tones and slight sweetness to balance out the warming alcohol and enormous hop character that lies within. This beer is of course all about the hops, and it delivers big with zesty notes of tangerine, grapefruit, and pine needles, followed up by subtler notes of black tea and cantaloupe. On tap at Roosevelt.

Goods Hit IPA
A collaboration with our friends over at Goods Local Brews, this hazy pale is the second version of this beer to be brewed and is darned tasty. Silky, smooth malt notes are the foundation of this beer, allowing big juicy hop notes to shine through. Citrus notes of lemon, lime and tangerine predominate, followed up by subtler hints of tropical fruit, candied stone fruit, and coconut. On tap at Sunnyland.

SMALL BATCH BEER
On Tap at Sunnyland

Ocean Eyes Hazy Pale
Fermented with a small amount of mango puree, this hazy pale is fruity, hoppy, smooth, and sublimely delicious. Flaked Oats and unmalted wheat combine to create a balanced and smooth body, while the marriage of mango puree and azacca hops impart juicy notes of ripe mango and tangerine. Full of bright fruity flavors, Ocean Eyes Hazy Pale is an easy-drinking summer beer that will have you coming back for more.

Belgian Wit
A delightful brew, our Wit is a traditional Belgian wheat beer lightly spiced with coriander, orange peel and a hint of chamomile. Light and crisp up front, it features smooth bready flavors, bright citrus notes, and spicy fruit accents from the coriander and traditional wit yeast. Sessionable to its core, Belgian Wit epitomizes the term “Summer Beer.”

Golden Hour French Saison
A rustic yet elegant brew, Golden Hour saison presents the drinker with a sensory sunset of flavor and aroma. Hints of ripe pear and apple, along with notes of fresh cracked wheat and lemon all blend together to form a delightful aroma bouquet. On the tongue, ripe orchard fruit and citrus are still present, with the addition of soothing bready notes and a light and playful boozy heat. Aged patiently and deliberately, this beer has matured exquisitely, and its time to shine has come.

Mango-Strawberry Apero
The third installment in our Apero series, this unusual brut beer is thirst quenching and delightfully refreshing. Sweet strawberry notes are apparent up front, followed by juicy mango accents. Extremely dry and clean, this style is still a staff favorite. Santé!
