Airways Brewing & Reuben’s Brews – A Collaborative Rye Beer

In terms of beer fashion, rye is definitely the new black. Not really, I just like saying that.

Adam Robbings and his brewery, Reuben’s Brews, are at the forefront of the current trend of rye beers. Some people would argue that nobody does it better. Alex Dittmar, owner/brewmaster at Airways Brewing, might be one of those people. That’s why he was excited to make a collaborative rye beer with Adam.

Today at the Airways Brewery and Tasting Room in Kent, Red Rye Pilsner will be release. Actually, it was released at 3:00 today. It is also on tap at the Reuben’s Brews tasting room in Ballard. Here is some information from Airways Brewing about the beer.

Tasting Notes

A complex aroma of rich malt, spice, and seltzer water precedes a spicy flavor from the hops and rye. Medium body with a soft and rounded bitterness. A clean, crisp and refreshing lager.
