Ales for ALS season kicks off on July 15th

Welcome to summer! Along with it comes warmer days, drier skies and lots of great beer, like the Ales for ALS™ beers that will soon hit the market. Ales for ALS is a program spearheaded by Loftus Ranches, one of the Yakima Valley’s beloved hop farms. Now in its fifth year, Ales for ALS has raised over $1,250,000 for ALS research. Ales for ALS season kicks off on July 15th at Bale Breaker Brewing in Yakima (details below).

Each year, Loftus Ranches and YCH Hops releases a unique proprietary hop blend and offers it, free of charge, to a select group of breweries across the nation. Participating breweries make beers, for summertime release, using the Ales for ALS hop and pledge to support the cause by donating a portion of the proceeds to support the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI). Last year 115 breweries participated in the program.

Yes, the beers themselves raise money for the cause, but there are also Ales for ALS events that do the same. When we hear about any events happening around Washington, we’ll be sure to let you know. For instance, here’s information about the official Ales for ALS kickoff.
