Ales for Alzheimer’s – enjoy ales for a worthy cause

Yesterday I spoke with a representative from the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association about an upcoming event called Ales for Alzheimer’s. While planning is busily underway, one thing is certain: Ales for Alzheimer’s is a way for people to support a worth cause by drinking beer. We like that.

What is Ales for Alzheimer’s?

Ales for Alzheimer’s is a fundraiser for the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. The event will take place on Saturday, March 12th in Seattle’s lower Queen Anne neighborhood. A number of pubs (to be determined) will be involved. This is basically a pub crawl for a worthy cause. For $30 participants receive a T-shirt and a beer at each of the participating bars.

If you are a bar owner on lower Queen Anne and want to be involved, or if you are a brewery or other business owner interested in sponsoring this event, contact Karen Aparicio. (Think of the T-shirt as a blank canvas.)

All proceeds directly support the Association’s free programs and services giving invaluable help to people in need. The funds raised by Ales for Alzheimer’s will benefit the local chapter.

The event organizers are still signing up participating bars. In the meantime you can register for the event here.
