American Brewing Company – More Beer & Newly Remodeled Taproom

The only thing better than good beer is more good beer. That’s why I am always happy to hear about good breweries growing. For example, a while ago we told you about expansion plans at American Brewing Company in Edmonds. Today we not only tell you about the new brewhouse and the newly remodeled tasting room, but we also welcome American Brewing aboard as a blog sponsor.

We first told you about the plan back in January. Now it has come to fruition. The company recently installed a 30-barrel, steam-heated brewhouse to replace its 15-barrel brewhouse, which will allow American Brewing to provide more product to the market and meet the growing demand for its award-winning beers.

The new, three-vessel system accommodates larger single batches and allows for a much quicker turn-around between batches. Brewing two 30-barrel batches back-to-back should now take about the same time as brewing a single 15-barrel batch on the old system. In other words, they will soon be able to brew 60-barrels of beer (120 kegs) in the time it took to brew 15 barrels (30 kegs).

To accommodate the new brewhouse, American Brewing requisitioned some space from the tasting room – the Breakaway Room. Not to worry, they revamped the entire tasting room and reconfigured it so there is still plenty of room to enjoy your Breakaway IPA or Caboose Oatmeal Stout.
