“It’s been a fantastic second year for us, with so many great memories, friends, and accomplishments. We’re all very excited at what next year has in store!” – Russell Everett, Brewmaster and Co-Founder.

To accommodate its growth the brewery recently added another twenty barrel fermenter, doubling its cellar capacity since opening in 2012. True to the company’s commitment to using American steel wherever possible, the new tank was fabricated by Portland, OR based Metalcraft Fabrication LLC using a unique new patent-pending design. The new fermenter will allow increased production of the brewery’s most popular core brands, Eagle Harbor IPA and Kommuter Kolsch-Style Ale, while freeing up smaller fermenters to focus on seasonal and one-off releases such as its newest release, Bainbridge 2nd Anniversary Ale; a Barrel-Aged Coffee Imperial Stout, brewed with fantastic coffee from local roaster Grounds For Change™.

Since opening, the brewery has developed a well-earned reputation for the quality of its beers, reflected most recently in the 2014 Washington Beer Awards®, where Bainbridge Blonde Ale took Gold in the Belgian Ales category, while the brewery’s Eagle Harbor IPA took Silver in American-Style India Pale Ales, the state’s most hotly contested category and most popular craft beer style.

In order to more easily supply its wholesale customers and expand into new markets, the brewery is excited to announce that it has signed a wholesale distribution contract with Alpha Distributing LLC. Since its start Alpha has focused on craft beer brands, distributing both well-established and up-and-coming breweries from Washington and elsewhere.

“It was time. We’ve self-distributed for two years and there’s only so much we can do with just us and a van! This will help us better serve our accounts, while no doubt adding many great new ones.” – Chuck Everett, General Manager and Co-Founder.

The new distribution-relationship will allow the brewery to supply accounts throughout the Washington I-5 corridor and West Sound. The brewery will continue to serve local wholesale accounts itself on Bainbridge Island and in nearby communities, however.

Bainbridge Island Brewing was founded in 2012 by father-son duo Chuck and Russell Everett. Makers of fine “Island Crafted Ales,” the brewery serves fresh, unique, and delicious craft beer at its taproom on Bainbridge Island, and on draft throughout the greater Puget Sound region.
