Bambino’s Raises the Bar

Chef Belle Coelho owns and operates Bambino’s Pizzeria on the northern fringes of Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood. She takes pizza very seriously. That aint all. She also loves fine beers and approaches that part of her business with equal zeal. Today I want to let you know that Bambino’s Pizzeria has added bar seating. They’ve always offered great beer, but no bar until now. I guess you could say they are once again raising the bar when it comes to pizza and beer pairing.

So what did they have on tap last Thursday when they officially opened the bar? Check it out: Russian River Pliny the Elder, Russian River Supplication, Firestone Walker Pivo Pils, Birreria Le Baladin Noel, Mad Viking Bourbon Barrel Stout, Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA, and La Trappe Quad. As I said, Belle takes beer very seriously.

Kim and I first discovered Seattle’s Bambino’s Pizzeria almost a year ago after hearing rumors of a pizza joint in Belltown with an outstanding selection of beer. We were completely blown away when we first visited Bambinos – the pizza and beer both exceeded any expectations. Read the post I wrote about our first visit and you’ll see what I mean. What’s even better, on special occasions Belle creates particular pizzas to pair with particular beers. Outstanding! I was very pleased when Bambino’s signed up to sponsor the Washington Beer Blog.

Stop in and pay Bambino’s a visit (401 Cedar St, Seattle. map.) You will not be disappointed. Here are a few pictures of the new bar, shamelessly lifted from the Bambino’s Facebook page.
