Bandapalooza at Des Voigne Brewing on April 29th

First up, let’s talk about the name of the brewery. B-Side Brewing was the beery half of Des Voignes cellars, which has been making wine in Woodinville for years. In January of 2016 Des Voigne became first winery in Washington to also operate a brewery (legally, that is). Previously, the law did not allow a winery to make beer and vice versa. Read that story here.

In 2016 they opened the brewing half of the business as B-Side Brewing, which was fine until lawyers from B-Side Wine of Sonoma, California came calling. So to avoid legal entanglements, B-Side Brewing of Woodinville is now known by the same name as the winery with which it shares space: Des Voigne Brewing.

By the way, you pronounce Des Voigne the same way you pronounce Des Moinse, Iowa.
