Beer Church Ale - join the congregation this Friday at Two Beers Brewing

It’s been almost a month since we celebrated the release of Beer Church Ale 2013, the beers brewed by three different Seattle-area breweries to benefit the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. This Friday is your last chance to drink these three amazing beers side-by-side.

Join us at The Woods tasting room at Two Beers Brewing Company this Friday evening for one last opportunity to compare these great beers. We will be pouring all three versions of the beer, giving away swag, and celebrating the glory of beer as only Beer Church can. Come join the congregation. Help support a worthy cause by drinking beer. We will start the raffle at 6:00 but the beer will be pouring before that. Likely, it wont last too late into the night. Of course, Two Beers will also be pouring its regular selection of beers, so there will be no shortage of suds.

You can learn more about the beers and the project by reading our previous post. The short version, we brewed three different beers, each designed to showcase one uncommon hop: HBC 366. Airways Brewing created an Extra Pale Ale, Georgetown Brewing created an IPA, and Two Beers Brewing created a Cascadian Brown Ale. They are each unique, but there is a common thread running through them all: HBC 366 hops, and plenty of ‘em.

HBC 366 is an experimental variety of hop. To date, it has been used by a very small handful of breweries, including the three breweries involved in this project. Developed by Hop Union, which generously donated the hops for this project, HBC 366 is floral, fruity, earthy, bitter, and just plain wild. Suddenly, breweries are clamoring for it. HBC 366 is remarkable and this is your best opportunity to become familiar with the hop that just might end up being the next big thing.
