Beer drinkers buy two truckloads of supplies for Haiti

Last Saturday as many of us were busy enjoying the Belgianfest in Georgetown, the Barking Dog Alehouse in Ballard hosted a benefit for Haitian relief (read our original post). The event was sponsored by Deschutes Brewing, Diamond Knot Brewing, Fremont Brewing, and Georgetown Brewing.

All proceeds benefited People in Need Partnership — a non-partisan, non-religious organization designed to connect what lies under the surface with practical action. Basically, they provide a very direct, immediate way to help. People in Need Partnership already had people on the ground in Haiti ready to help, but they were in need of supplies.

The good folks at the Barking Dog stepped up big time. In the end they raised enough money to buy two truckloads of supplies. Cheers to everyone who contributed and a big shout out to the sponsors.

The Fundraiser was GREAT and with the results, we were able to buy 2 truck loads of supplies that are being distributed this week!!! Thank you Georgetown, Diamond Knot, Deschutes and Fremont Brewing and EVERYONE that came and participated!!
