Beer in the Garden this Sunday. Drink beer, help animals

We like charity events that involve beer and we like the furry critters that people call pets. We are therefore especially fond of charity events that benefit the fuzzy little beasts that so preciously help protect our sanity in this crazy world. That’s why we are happy to tell you about this event.

This Sunday at the West Seattle Nursery you can enjoy delicious beer and wine with the knowledge that 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Furry Faces Foundation – a non-profit organization that helps animals in need. Organized by the good publicans at the Beveridge Place Pub, Beer in the Garden will feature beer graciously donated by Big Al Brewing and Schooner Exact Brewing.

  1. Thanks for posting this event Washington Beer Blog! Terri and Gary, owners of Beveridge Place Pub, are so wonderful to have selected our group as the benefitting charity. A big thank you to them and our generous friends at Big Al’s Brewing, Schooner Exact Brewing and of course, West Seattle Nursery. For those that didn’t know, the Beveridge Place Pub is Furry Faces Foundation’s official South Headquaters!

Furry Faces will be on site serving our soon to be famous, specialty sandwich: A chocochip cookie topped with caramel filled chocolate, which is topped with a roasted marshmallow; which is topped with another chocolate chip cookie. The purrfect food pairing with both beer and wine!

  2. This is awesome, and exactly why I love being in the beer industry. Great people with big hearts. Looking forward to my chocolate chip cookie sandwich on Sunday.
