Beer Junction Celebrates 2 Years at the New Location

It was two years and some-odd months ago that Morgan Herzog told me of his plans to move into a different, larger space around the corner on California Avenue. He explained that the new Beer Junction (blog sponsor) would offer growler fills and would even allow people to sample the beers before they committed to a growler. Not just tasters, but full pints of beer.

“So it’s going to be a bar?” I said. Morgan assured me that it was not going to be a bar, but a bottleshop that filled growlers. The pints were just a way to sample what you might want to take away in a growler.

I continued, “So there’s gonna be a bar, with bar stools, and eight beers on tap. And people can sit there and order pints, but it’s not going to be a bar?”

It was actually a comical conversation. I’m not sure if he was pulling my leg or if I just had a vision of the inevitable reality that Morgan had yet to embrace. Whatever the case, today The Beer Junction is one of the busiest bars in West Seattle. Of course, it remains an outstanding bottleshop, but it’s also the bar I envisioned more than two years ago. It is both. It is all. It is The Beer Junction. With 35 beers on tap and well over 1,000 in bottles, it’s a Shangri La for beer lovers.
