You know what they say, “Time flies when your having barleywine.” Okay, nobody says that, but where have the last 17 years gone? They slipped away down a timeless river of reddish-gold, amber-brown barleywine. Washed out to sea on a rhapsodical tide of the burliest beers known to man. But here we are, time to prepare for the 17th Annual Barleywine Bacchanal at Beveridge Place Pub.
Starting on Thursday, January 24th, the pub dedicates 30 taps to a rotating selection of 70+ barleywines. The event runs through the weekend with the selection changing daily. To help you taste as many as possible, without succumbing to complete inebriation, taster trays of 4-oz pours will be available.
Expect to enjoy barelywine from as near as Ballard, as far as Belgium, and all points in between. Also expect a lively and large crowd, especially on Thursday when the whole thing kicks off.
