Beer Release – Kraven’s Kirweisse, Black Raven Brewing

The next beer in the Taproom Series from Black Raven Brewing is described as a Berliner Weiss style of beer with a twist. It’s the brewery take on a French cocktail called a kir. What’s that, you’re likely asking? Kir is a cocktail made with crème de cassis (blackcurrant liqueur) and white wine.

To produce Kraven’s Kirweisse, Black Raven Brewing aged this one in white wine barrels and added black currants. Available at the Black Raven taproom and in 500 ml bottles to go ($6.99 + tax). Release date: Tuesday, August 25th at 3:00 PM.
