bellevue brewing company

Bellevue Brewing Company releases its Rye IPA (RIPA) this Friday at the brewery’s taproom. Release notice from Bellevue Brewing Company:

We’re excited to release everyone’s perennial favorite: our Rye IPA (“RIPA”). Join us in our taproom this Friday for the first pours of this delicious summer beer. When this beer is teed up, the sunshine and summer fun can’t be far behind!

Our distributor, Columbia Distributors, will have the beer in their inventory by May 25 and ready for distribution throughout Western Washington. On or about June 1, fresh bottles of RIPA will roll off the bottling line and become available at your favorite retailer. Retailers wishing to put kegs on draught or bottles in the cooler should contact the brewery directly, or their Columbia rep immediately, as this style always sells out quickly.

This golden, spicy vixen tips the scales at a respectable 6.2% ALC/VOL with 62 IBU, and 14.7º Plato. Sessional, sure, why not!?

The aroma is alluring, evoking pleasant memories of past summers. Playful, spicy flavors tempt the palate thanks to the complexity of the perle and magnum hops mixing things up with the rye malt. On the palate, you’ll also notice resinous, piney notes with balanced maltiness and a super clean, citrusy finish.
