Saturday, April 4th – Join Elysian Brewing at Renton’s Dog and Pony Alehouse for a Brewers Night/Sushi Extravaganza. In addition to fine beer and sushi, the event will feature a homecoming of sorts. You’ll want to get there early. It will likely pack out the joint.
As we originally reported back in October, Laura Stoudt now works for Elysian Brewing. Before working at Elysian, Laura worked at Uber Tavern. Before Uber, she worked at the Dog and Pony, where she was known to make sushi on occasion. Avid readers of the Washington Beer Blog will remember that Laura has beer in her blood. Her family owns Stoudts Brewing Company in Adamstown, PA. Laura tells us that some of her family are coming for a visit and will be at Saturday night’s event.
Wouldn’t it be something if they brought some Stoudt’s beer with them? Maybe her mom or one of her sisters could secretly pack a keg into a suit case. Probably too much to ask for, right?

As many of you already know I use to roll sushi at the Dog and Pony and it was always an event not to be missed. Here are some reasons why……
* Delicious Elysian beers. Avatar, Maibock, and a few special beers that are excellent with sushi.
* It’s a family affair! Carol, Elizabeth, and Gretel Stout will all be attending, and a very special surprise that has certainly traveled the distance for all of you to enjoy!
* Did I mention sushi! I will be creating a special pairing menu with all the beers. You may think I’m crazy, but who wouldn’t want sushi with their beer.
* Prizes, the usual swag.
* Oh and I guess I’ll be there, if that’s not reason enough!
