Bellingham Beer is Coming to Latona Pub

Each year, at about this time, Latona Pub dedicates a week to breweries of a specific “hotbed” craft beer region. Last year they focused on beers from the Hood River Gorge area, for example. This year, they’ve selected Bellingham, Washington as the featured brewery hot spot. (Pictured at right, a group of local brewers collaborated for Bellingham Beer Week 2015.)

Next week, November 16 through 20, Latona Pub will showcase beers from the breweries of Bellingham. Each day they’ll focus on beers from a particular brewery. Each night from 7:00 – 9:00 they’ll celebrate with typical brewers night hoopla. The schedule for Bellingham Beer at Latona Week is below. Note that Friday is a happy hour event.

All said, they’ll pour about 20 beers from five different breweries. The beer will remain on tap through the weekend, so make it down to the pub whenever you can.

Bellingham is currently home to five active, award-winning breweries within city limits, with others nearby. Once upon a time, Boundary Bay Brewery was the only game in town, and nobody disputes that they still rule the roost, but they are no longer alone in servicing the always-thirsty B-ham populace.

“We spent a few days touring the breweries of this region; meeting the brewers, asking questions, taking pictures, and of course sampling all we could,” said a recent Latona Pub newsletter. “We can’t wait to share this experience with you next week.”
