Big Battel #2 starts today at Growler Guys: Hazy and Goliath

At The Growler Guys in Seattle, they’re pitting Hazy IPAs against big, burly brews in a head to head showdown. You determine the winner at Seattle Beer Week Big Battel #2: “HAZY vs GOLIATH.” (BTW, Oxford English Diction defines the word battel as fertile; nourishing.)

The Growler Guys is located at 8500 Lake City Way, Seattle, WA 98115

The battel battle starts today and runs through next Wednesday, May 24th.

Battle or battel not, it sounds like there will be a lot of great beer on tap at Growler Guys.

Here’s the event description in the words of Kelly Dole, the owner of Growler Guys.

THE HAZY. Many of us just love, love, love hazy, juicy, New England style IPAs so I tracked-down and tapped more juice than you can shake a stick at. We’re pouring Hazy Beer from 20 Taps and have more kegs backing those up. There’s over 25 Breweries represented. Juice-out for the remainder of SBW by trying a couple of photogetic flights ~ then take home a Crowler before it’s all gone. That’s the HAZY.

THE GOLIATH. It’s no secret I collect and covet high ABV beers. I’ve been saving a fine collection of rare Barrel-Aged, Imperial, and Sour beers to tap for SBW. 15 very sexy kegs have just been tapped or are on deck, including standouts from Fremont (B-Bomb), Holy Mountain, Perennial (Abraxas), Crux, Founders, Mazama, Anderson Valley, Fortside, Belching Beaver, Great Divide, Big Time, Yakima Craft, 10 Barrel, New Holland and Dogfish Head. Proper stemware and flights help you enjoy them all. That’s the GOLIATH.
