Big Weekend at The Junction: Gigantic Bacon Beer from the Farmhouse

The Beer Junction (blog sponsor) has a big weekend planned. It all starts tonight (Thurs, April 18) when they welcome Gigantic Brewing from Portland for a tasting event. Saturday they’ll be tapping a rare, new and interesting beer from Everett’s Justice Brewing. On Sunday, The Beer Junction will introduce Propolis Brewing to the Seattle market.

Thursday you can meet Ben Love, Owner and Brewmaster for Gigantic Brewing.  They’ll tap into Gigantic’s two brand new beers: Whole in the Head Imperial IPA and Dark Meddle Vienna-style Lager. They will also be pouring Gigantic IPA, Black Friday Cascadian Dark Ale, and End of Reason Belgian-style Quad. Try all five of these for just $4 from 5:00 – 8:00.

Mmmm, Bacon

This Saturday (April 20th) the Beer Junction taps into a highly coveted, limited-release keg from Everett’s Justice Brewing. High Stupidity is described as, “An amber colored ale brewed with Maple Syrup, Vanilla, Bacon, and Hemp Seeds!” Only seven kegs were released outside of the brewery and the Beer Junction is joining forces with six other locations around the Puget Sound for a simultaneous tapping on April 20th.

Herbal Brews from the Farm

This Sunday (April 21st) the Beer Junction introduces Propolis Brewing to the Seattle market. Reading the company’s website, this brand new brewery in Port Townsend sounds a suspicious lot like a farmhouse brewery. The Beer Junction will tap into the Spruce and Ostara Saisons starting at 11:00 a.m. This is the first time the beer will be on tap outside of Port Townsend. In their own words, “Propolis is focused on resurrecting the principle of Healthy Beer through the use of carefully selected local herbs and botanicals that bitter and flavor our ales, as well as promote positive health specific to the shifting seasons.”
