Bittersweet Bellingham – an IPA challenge, starts Thursday

It’s Bellingham’s version of March madness. They aren’t calling it that; rather, they’ve dubbed it Bittersweet ’16. It’s an IPA challenge and it kicks off this Thursday at four locations: The Copper Hog, Elizabeth Station, McKay’s Taphouse, and The Local Annex. They’ve hand-picked 16 IPAs for the challenge and each location will pour four of the IPAs. Blindly.

Your mission is to visit each location, grab a bracket, sample the four IPAs and rank them based on flavor and aroma. In the end, you’re bracket will serve as your ballot. Taster flights will be available at each location for $5. When your bracket is complete, turn it in at any of the locations. You will have two weeks to complete the mission.

The IPA that that wins the most brackets will get a tap handle at all four location for one month.
