Boundary Bay Wins 2014 Award as Washington’s Outstanding Philanthropic Small Business

Most of Washington’s local breweries do a lot to help non-profit organizations. Whether it be in the form of beer donations that help non-profit organizations raise funds, or greater involvement in events and causes, philanthropy and beer go hand in hand, which is just one more reason why a brewery is a valuable member of its community. No brewery embodies the spirit of community giving better than Boundary Bay Brewery & Bistro.

Bellingham’s oldest craft brewery has been named Outstanding Philanthropic Small Business for Washington State. Boundary Bay Brewery will be honored at an awards ceremony in November. Each year, the Association of Fundraising Professionals considers nominations for the award and selects one business that best exemplifies how businesses and non-profits can work together to address community needs.

Congratulations to Boundary Bay’s owner, Ed Bennett, and General Manager, Janet Lightner. More than congratulations, they deserve our thanks.

Here is the official press release.
