I was just tracking down some information on Northern Ales myself and came across this post asking if they've upgraded. They've moved about an hour south to Kettle Falls where they're enjoying a larger building, more drop in visitors, and many more opportunities for community entertainment such as live bands and friendly pool and ping-pong competitions. The beer is still fantastic and they're currently open Wed-Sat from noon to "closing", so be sure to stop by on your way through Kettle. They're still small and hence the website is still a bit of a work in progress, but you can get the idea of what they're up to now: http://www.northernales.com

Reviving an old post for sure, but I just got a couple of samples of Smelters Stout (excellent) and the Honey Basil (interesting) at Chucks on 85th in Ballard. So some of these beers are now making it into Seattle if you have the time to hunt them down. I wonder if he's moved up to a more substantial system?

It is in fact, Hedrick, and the beer is in fact, heavenly. Their latest edition, the Etzelager, is to die for. Don't miss out!!!

Great Place! If you find yourself, as I recently did, wandering aimlessly through heaven and need a real beer, be sure to stop by. He can't spell, but he can sure make good beer!

I will definitely target this place when next I'm up there on a birding trip. If Steve's not careful with that whole "circle of life" thing he IS going to end up a hippie. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I love hippies myself...
