Brews, Blues & Your Chance to Win $500 Worth of Beer

How would you spend $500 at 99 Bottles (blog sponsor)? Obviously, you’d buy a lot of beer. Well, Rotary Club of Des Moines is raffling off a 99 Bottles gift basket that includes a $500 gift card. The raffle tickets cost just $5 and the proceeds benefit Highline Music4Life, a local program that helps kids learn about music by hooking them up with instruments and other supplies so they can participate in band and orchestra. Stop by 99 Bottles this week to purchase a $5 raffle ticket. Or get one at the Blues & Brews Festival, where the winner will be drawn (need not be present to win).

It’s all part of this Saturday’s Poverty Bay Blues & Brews Festival in Des Moines. Enjoy beers from a dozen breweries while some of the region’s best blues acts serenade you from the stage. The event takes place at Des Moines Waterfront Park, just north of the Des Moines Marina. Expect to see Airways Brewing (blog sponsor), Big Al Brewing, 7 Seas Brewing, Pike Brewing, Diamond Knot Brewing, Silver City Brewing, Flyers Brewery and others at the event.

As for food, they will be barbecuing Bratwurst and B&E Market’s famous Tri Tip for your dining enjoyment.  Additionally, there’s a car show next door near the marina.

The raffle winner will be drawn at Saturday’s event (need not be present to win).
