Brewshed Battle of the Brewers at Flatstick Pub

On Thursday, August 17th Flatstick Pub in Seattle hosts a Battle of the Brewers, a night of putt-putt golf, beer and friendly competition. The event involves 23 local breweries. While space is still available, you can sign up to join a local brewery’s team in this miniature golf tournament. Its’ a pro-am tournament and each of the 23 teams needs one player from the general public (that’s you).

Proceeds from the event benefit Washington Wild’s Brewshed® Alliance, which is built upon the idea that healthy watersheds mean clean water and clean water leads to better beer.

Sure, it’s a friendly competition, but the winning brewery gets to take over one tap at Flatstick Pub for a month, with the pub donating $1 for every beer sold off that tap to Washington Wild. The public player (that’s you!) on the winning team gets a $50 gift card from Flatstick. As of this time, there are still several spots available: there are several brewery teams that you can join. Tournament Structure: Each team will play 9 holes of mini golf and 12 holes of duffleboard. From there, they will combine the scores of both players to get the total score. The seven lowest scoring teams advance to the playoff round, where one player from each team will play the 1st golf hole. From there, the worst score from that hole is eliminated and the remaining six teams move on. This process is continued until there is only one team left.

During the event, each of the participating breweries will have a keg on tap at Flatstick Pub, and they will be donating $1 for every beer sold to Washington Wild. This money goes back to protecting healthy forests and watersheds.

Entry fee is only $15 and the money goes to Washington Wild to support their nonprofit work to protect wild places and healthy watersheds in our state! Your ticket includes a $5 token to spend on whatever you want at the bar, a round of mini golf and duffleboard in the tournament, and swag from the brewery with which you are golfing.
