Cascadia Grains Conference this weekend in Olympia

The Cascadia Grains Conference is THIS SATURDAY, Jan. 19th in Olympia (field trips on Friday, also). REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN: https://www.cascadiagrains.com.

This annual conference, like the Bread Lab, is a project of WSU whose mission is to revitalize the regional grains economy by bringing together brewers, distillers, maltsters, bakers, investors, farmers, and researchers to share science and make connections. It’s an all day event at South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia and ends with a beer and spirits tasting after dinner.

You can see Saturday’s schedule of presentations and workshops here:

There are also field trips on Friday:

This year Fremont Brewing made a special beer, Grains of Cascadia Single Farm Pale Ale, to support the conference which will be served there and released at Fremont on Friday. Anyway, I highly recommend this event to geek out on all things grain and meet some cool people in craft beverages and related industries.
