Catsino at the Beveridge Place Pub

The Beveridge Place Pub (blog sponsor) and Furry Faces Foundation invite you to join them for an afternoon of casino-style gaming, beers, and fun. For an afternoon, the pub is transformed into a casino. Or, actually, a Catsino. It all goes down this Sunday, April 6th from 2:00 – 6:00.

Catsino is an casino-themed event benefiting local animal services organizations. Local businesses, such as breweries and the Washington Beer Blog, operate gaming tables where gamblers wager Catsino Bucks. This is a silent auction, raffle, and well, I don’t know how else to describe it. It is a crazy good time, that’s for sure. It’s raucous and rowdy, frenzied and fun. Best of all, the whole thing benefits various types of pet rescue.

The Washington Beer Blog will be operating the Over-Under table again this year. Our dice game is fun and tilted shamelessly in your favor. It’s kind of like craps, but we let you keep the shirt on your back. Each table, including ours, has a specific raffle prize associated with it. Our table’s raffle prize is a flight in a private sport plane. And if you’re not quite brave enough for such an adventure, we’ll offer up a beer package as well, with special brews and some swag.

According to Lora Swift of Furry Faces Foundation, “Local businesses and animal rescue groups are adopting the gaming tables, dealing out the cards and rolling the dice. Enjoy meeting local rescue groups and bid on unusual, unique silent auction items! All proceeds benefit Furry Faces Foundation, A.A.R.F., Community Cat Coalition, and Regional Animal Services of King County.”
