Celebrating 12 Years of the Biggest, Boldest Beers at the Beveridge Place Pub

Currently, there are almost 70 beers on the list for this year’s Barleywine Bacchanal. The list is below. I wouldn’t be surprised if a few more sneak onto the roster before the week-long event kicks off on Saturday, March 1st. For 12 years running, the Beveridge Place Pub has assembled an impressive array of the most bodacious brews. For one full week, the pub will serve up various vintages of Barleywine from breweries near and far.

At the Beveridge Place Pub they do it up right, serving sampler tray, which allow you to sample several different barleywines without sacrificing too much of your sobriety. Sampler trays are encouraged but not required. Drink as you see fit. The beers will rotate into the lineup as space becomes available and they’ll have up to 30 on tap at any given moment. You’ll get what you get when you get there. Don’t worry, they’ll have plenty of good stuff to delight and excite your palate.

bacchusOn Saturday, the pub opens at noon. Shortly thereafter, a significant crowd will form. Be patient. Or come in the evening. Or the next day. Or any day next week.

Designate a driver. Consider using Uber as an option for safe transportation. (Sign up now and save $20 on your first ride. Want to know more about Uber?) The Beveridge Place Pub is serviced by the Rapid Ride C line, and Metro routes 22 and 128.

Grab a tray, follow the instructions, get plenty of sleep the night before, stay hydrated, and get something to eat as you drink. Maybe order a pizza from Zeek’s. Or a giro from Kokoras? Remember to keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times.

Vintages vary, but here is the list of breweries and barleywine for the 12th Annual Barleywine Bacchanal.
