In our local craft beer scene we have a lot of characters, and I mean that in the best possible way. Big personalities with tons of style. In this case, I’m not just talking about the brewer with the longest beard or the most tattoos. I’m talking Taz.
Taz (short for Anastasia) Logan has such a big personality that she starts her own party where ever she goes. When she decides to get behind a cause and produce a benefit event, you know it’s going to be good.
On Sunday, June 9th, Taz, along with her friend, breast cancer survivor Patti Margeson, is producing the second annual Beer for Boobs to raise funds for their Susan G. Komen 3-Day team for breast cancer research. The team, including Patti’s son Eric, will be walking the three-day come September. Last year they raised over $4,000 at an event hosted by Black Raven Brewing. This year the event will be at JJ Mahoney’s in Redmond from 5 to 8 p.m.
At Beer for Boobs NW, they make it easy to contribute to the cause: just drink beer and buy raffle tickets. Custom “pink” beers are being made especially for this event from breweries like Triplehorn, Black Raven, Dirty Bucket, Odin, Pike, and Naked City.
Raffle prizes include brewery swag, wine, gift cards and concert tickets. KISW even donated the opportunity for one winner and a guest to sit in on the BJ Shea Morning Experience.
JJ Mahoney’s is located in the Bella Botega Theater Center at 8932 161st Ave NE, Redmond. For more information, visit www.BeerforBoobsNW.com, or e-mail [email protected]
