Counterbalance Winter Beer Release: Samsparilla Stout now available
Brewed with Indian sarsaparilla and fresh vanilla beans resulting in a full-bodied root beer stout that’s a seasonal favorite. For a limited time, Samsparilla Stout comes in draft and, new this year, 375ml bottles. 7.1% ABV using 2-Row Pale, Roasted Barley, Black Patent and Caramel malts.
Also released in December, Kushetka Imperial Stout in 12-ounce cans. This SIP Magazine Best of the Northwest Award® winner is a big, bold beer with flaked and roasted barley and delicious chocolate flavors balanced by a strong hop presence. Kushetka pairs perfectly with winter weather and holiday menus.

Both packaged and draft beer are available for sale in our family-friendly taproom. Open on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve until 6:00 p.m. with half-price growler fills to help get the holidays started right.
Counterbalance Brewing Company opened its doors and launched wholesale distribution in February 2015. The brewery and taproom are located at in Seattle’s historic Georgetown neighborhood. Counterbalance beers are distributed to bars, restaurants, and retail locations throughout Washington by Vinum Importing & Distributing.
