A couple of firsts – Double Mountain in Seattle, Firestone Walker in Bellingham

I have a couple of “firsts” to tell you about. To begin with, Hood River’s Double Mountain Brewing has delivered some kegs to the Seattle area, which means you might get to drink it for the first time. Secondly, at the Green Frog Acoustic Tavern, Bellingham is tasting Firestone Walker beers for the first time.
Tuesday night we attended the Double Mountain Brewery’s first-ever Seattle-area event – a brewers night at the Naked City. While they were in town they delivered a few kegs, so even if you didn’t make it to Naked City on Tuesday you’ve got some opportunities to try Double Mountain for yourself. This is just a delivery list. You’ll have to check with each establishment to find out when it will actually go on tap. We think there might be a few others floating around town, but we know of these for sure.
Red Hot – IRA and Stout
Parkway – IRA and Hop Lava
Beveridge Place – Alpenbrew and Hop Lava
Brouwers – FaLaLa and Hop Lava
Bottleworks – Alpenbrew
Collins – Hop Lava
Uber – Hop Lava
Latona – Alpenbrew
Fiddler’s – Hop Lava
Naked City – likely they still have a nice compliment of Double Mountain on tap from the other night.
Up north in Bellingham, the Green Frog Acoustic Tavern has secured some beer from California’s Firestone Walker Brewing. This is, as far as we know, the first time Firestone Walker is being served in Whatcom County.  I know they’ll be serving the  Double Barrel Ale, Union Jack IPA, Walker’s Reserve Robust Porter. You Bellinghamsters are in for a treat. Firestone Walker is an outstanding brewery. The beers are amazing. This is worth making a special trip down to the Frog, for sure.

  1. It was very nice to finally meet you! it was a fun night and we are super excited (especially my self) to be bringing our brews to Seattle.

  2. Our keg of Union Jack has kicked already. However we have swapped it out with a keg of IPA from Yakima Craft Brewers. The FW DBA and Walkers Reserve Porter still have some life in them, come on down!
