Elliott Bay Brewing Ode to Darkness – Imperial Stout Vertical Tasting this Saturday

Elliott Bay Brewing Company’s Public House and Brewery in Lake City is hosting the 5th annual Ode to Darkness this Saturday, January 23rd from 4:00 to 9:00. The event pays homage to the long, dark days of winter by sharing some very special, very dark beers with beer lovers. This is Elliott Bay Brewing’s biggest vertical tasting of Fauntleroy Imperial Stout to date.

Starting at 4:00, they’ll tap into five versions of Fauntleroy Imperial Stout. Vintages include 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2015. Also, a rye whiskey barrel-aged version of the of the 2014 vintage.

Beers will be tapped at the pub’s new Back Bar but all pub customers can order a taster tray for $8 that includes all five samples plus a special, small bite from the kitchen.

This is a great opportunity to taste the effects of careful cellaring on this award winning beer, side by side, year by year. Head Brewer Dan Ashley will be on hand in the Back Bar to answer questions and give tours of the brew house.
