Chuckanut Brewery will be partnering with the Friday Harbor House for a special Chuckanut Beer Dinner on January 18 at 6:45 pm. Executive Chef Aaron Rock of Friday Harbor House, on San Juan Island, has put together an amazing menu to pair with his favorite Chuckanut Beers!

The four course dinner will be paired with specific Chuckanut beers to highlight the food and beer:
1. House Smoked King Salmon with braised romaine, chanterelles, and blue cheese paired with Pilsner.

2. Chorizo Stuffed Calamari, paired with Vienna Lager. The Vienna Lager is brewed with half Vienna malts creating a delicate malt aroma with a slightly caramelized and toasted malt character.
3. Coffee Rubbed Pork Tenderloin and whole wheat gnocchi, paired with Alt Bier. The Alt Bier is brown with a firm tan head, its aromatics are faintly fruity, full in body and shows a snappy hoppiness. It is a zesty, assertive, full malt flavored beer.
4. Chocolate Soufflé, paired with Schwarz Bier. Chuckanut Schwarz carries the roasted malt flavor with grace and ease and has a clean and smooth finish. Schwarz is a black beer with lots of espresso flavors, great with dessert!
Chuckanut Pilsner, Vienna Lager, Schwarz Bier and Alt Bier, have all won awards at various beer competitions including the Great American Beer Festival (GABF), the North American Brewers Association (NABA), and the Washington Beer Festival. Brewmaster Will Kemper will be on hand to talk about the beers, their history, and some beer travel stories.
