Festival News: Tacoma Big Beer Festival and WA Belgianfest

First off, I want to welcome a new sponsor to the blog – Tacoma Big Beer Festival. The event takes place on February 16 at Petrich Marine Dock along the Foss waterway in downtown Tacoma. Tickets are already on sale via the event website. Proceeds benefit the YWCA.

As the name suggests, this festival is all about big beers – Imperials, winter seasonals, doubles, big character, big flavor, big beers. Twenty breweries will pour more than 60 of their biggest brews. Visit the event website to learn more about the beers. In addition to the beer, this 21+ event will also have great food and live entertainment. Tickets are $20 advance ($25 at the door) and include a commemorative glass and 6 tasting tokens. Additional tokens are $1.50 each.

Next up, let’s talk about Belgianfest. The annual celebration of Washington’s Belgian-style beers returns to the Seattle waterfront on Saturday, February 2nd. Ticket are now on sale via the event website. This year more than 30 Washington breweries will pour an array of Belgian-inspired beers. Goldens, dubbels, trippels, quads, saison and more.

The event takes place at the Bell Harbor International Convention Center at Seattle’s Pier 66. Grownups only – 21+. Tickets are $35 and include a commemorative tasting glass and 10 tasting tokens. Tickets are available online now and will also be available at select offline locations in January (to be announced)
