Festival of the Dark Arts Celebrates Stouts and Other Dark Things

Tickets for the annual Festival of the Dark Arts go on sale today. The annual event hosted by Fort George Brewing in Astoria, Oregon, is a one-day carnival of stouts that serves as the centerpiece to a month-long celebration of the dark ales. The event takes place on February 13th from noon until 10:00.

Ticket holders get access to a magical menagerie of dark art and macabre entertainment, all the while surrounded by a collection of rare specialty stouts. Beer will be pouring all over the Fort George campus.

Along with over 60 different stouts, the event features live music and roaming entertainment. Dark arts include: artisan demonstrations from the iron forge, tattoo artists, glass blower, and ice sculptors. And there’s more. Enjoy fire dancers, tarot card reader, tintype photographer, and belly dancers, all with stout in hand.

Entertainment and stout lists will be added to the website as they are confirmed. Stout tasting tickets are $40 (plus service fee). This gets you entrance, a festival glass, and 12 tasting tokens. Additional tokens are $1 each at the festival. Admission only tickets for non-drinkers and minors are $10 (plus service fee). Purchase wisely as all sales are final and there are no upgrades on the day of the festival. Children under five do not require a ticket.
