Capitol Hill. Firkin-Firkin Throwdown: WA vs. OR. Elsian Brewing’s Capitol Hill pub, 3:00 – 11:00. The event features eight breweries from each state, competing head-to-head in eight style catagories. All of it in firkins. For example, in the IPA category Elysian Prometheus IPA will be facing off with Double Mountain Hop Lava IPA. The drinkers vote, the votes determine the winner. Work with a partner and do a blind tasting of each matchup. That way, nothing but the beer will influence your taste buds.
