As we originally posted here, Washington’s newest brewery suffered a set back a couple of weeks ago when a fire damaged the brand new 7 Seas brewery. We have gotten an update from the guys in Gig Harbor. They sound upbeat and we’re happy to hear that this is just a speed bump and not a road block.
Here is what they reported to us:
While the fire is unfortunate, it’s just as you said “a hiccup”. We are looking at this as an opportunity to come back stronger and larger than before. Luckily we were working late and were able to quickly call in the fire, otherwise undoubtedly would have been a complete loss. No time to mourn and point fingers, 7 Seas is quickly rising from the ashes (and landing somewhere with no forgetful neighbors!). A retail presence will most likely result as well, maybe even a smoked beer?!. We’ll keep you posted.
