Five beer releases from Kulshan Brewing

Bellingham’s Kulshan Brewing just announced the release of five beers. This set of brews run the gamut from a refreshing, fresh-hopped keller pils to a robust, barrel-aged winter brew. Here are the release notes from the brewery.

Kitten Mittens

This rich, medium bodied beer elicits nuances of chocolate, dates, and figs. Balanced bitterness and playful hop aroma fit like a mitten. On tap and in cans at both locations.

Barrel Aged Kitten Mittens

The complexity of this beer is amazing. When first poured it has a strong aroma and taste of chocolate, toffee, and anise. As it warms up, the hints of anise round to a complex vanilla and cherry. On tap at Roosevelt (K2) and in bottles to take home at both locations.

Fresh Hop Keller Pils

This small batch beer was brewed with fresh Willamette, Cascade, Centennial and Nugget hops grown by our good friend and former Head Brewer Sam Milne, our Fresh Hopped Keller Pilsner is a unique and delightful beer. A young and unfiltered version of our Pilsner, it has a spicy, floral and earthy hop profile, accentuated by fresh and bright notes of lemongrass and slight citrus. Light and dry, with a soft and bready malt base, this seasonal treat adds a truly Northwest twist to a traditional German beer. On tap at Sunnyland.

Amarillo Pale

Bursting with ripe citrus and bright berry notes, this Pale Ale highlights Amarillo hops from Roy Farms in Yakima. Subtle bread notes, spicy pine and lemon layer underneath bold notes of orange, nectarine, and strawberry. Delicious and clean, we recommend ordering one immediately before this small batch beer is gone! On tap at Sunnyland.

Kulshan Common

It’s slightly fruity but still crisp and clean with sweet notes of biscuit, toast, and hints of nuts and chocolate in the background. The hop finish is floral and earthy and you’ll notice some slight bitterness with a dry finish. On tap at Sunnyland.
