The Great American Beer Festival, which takes place in Denver on October 6th thru 8th, is the nation’s largest beer event. This year they expect 800 breweries to pour nearly 4,000 beers that 60,000 festival goers will consume. As usual, the 35th annual event is sold out (it sells out almost instantly every year). The event is also the nation’s largest judged beer competition. Last year over 1,500 breweries from all 50 states submitted over 6,000 beers that were judged in 92 beer categories.
If you want to win a GABF medal, you need to submit good beer and you also need some good juju. Competition is stiff and plentiful. Elliott Bay Brewing is hosting a brewers dinner to help create some good vibes and good fortune.
