Get Outdoors with the Noble Fir at OutdoorsFest

Today (Saturday, September 17) from 10:00 – 5:00 The Mountaineers will again be bringing the outdoors to the people with its Second Annual OutdoorsFest. The event takes place at Seattle’s Magnuson Park. The event features a beer garden operated by the Noble Fir. Beers on tap in the garden include Ninkasi’s Maiden the Shade, Two Beers’ Trailhead ISA, and Firestone Walker’s Nectar Red Ale. Proceeds from the beer garden benefit The Mountaineers.

The Program Center features indoor and outdoor climbing walls, seminars, a trivia fun run, beer garden, outdoor gear vendors with their latest innovations, and conservation groups. If you are just getting acquainted with what the Pacific Northwest offers to the outdoor adventurer, if you want to find out how to enhance your outdoor experience, or you simply want to start from square one, The Mountaineers OutdoorsFest and its sponsors welcome you.

The event takes place at:
Mountaineers Program Center – Seattle.
7700 Sand Point Way NE
Seattle, WA 98115

About the Mountaineers

The Mountaineers was formed in 1906 to explore the wild areas and peaks surrounding the still-young city of Seattle. Today, it is home to around 10,500 active members.

Although The Mountaineers has a small full-time staff, nearly 1,000 volunteers run most of the programs. Volunteer leaders do everything from leading trips to teaching classes to promoting their programs.

In addition to the recreational activities they pursue, The Mountaineers works to ensure that wilderness areas are preserved and protected through the actions of our Conservation, Recreation Resources and Stewardship divisions. Volunteer members track issues, mobilize members, perform trail maintenance, work with coalitions and lobby legislators (local and national).
