Gig Harbor Brewing pouring Nitro Imperial Stout for St. Patrick’s Day

Just in time for Paddy’s Day, head brewer Mike O’Hara’s Nitro Imperial Stout goes on tap March 17 at the Gig Harbor Brewing Company Taproom in Tacoma. The Taproom opens early, at 12:00 noon, for St. Patrick’s Day and they’ll be serving up some free food and snacks.

Gig Harbor’s Imperial Stout was first considered a seasonal brew for the cooler winter months, but the dark-rich stout has been so popular with patrons – and so versatile in the brewery (barrel-aged and nitro) – that GH Brewing decided to make it part of the year-round lineup.

“We’ll be serving the nitro version all weekend,” said head brewer, Mike O’Hara. “And there is still a small batch of barrel-aged stout still being poured in the taproom. Everyone who enjoys a hearty stout, will really like this stout – no matter how it’s served.”
