Great chefs, great food, great beer, great cause

FareStart is a special kind of human services organization. Their mission is supported by people who enjoy delicious meals at the FareStart restaurant and attend their special events. One such event is the annual Guest Chef on the Waterfront, where some of Seattle’s finest chefs offer up delicious tastes of their finest fare. Local craft beer is also on menu.

Guest Chef on the Waterfront is one of the Seattle area’s premier eating and drinking events, offering fantastic food, wine, beer, and atmosphere. You cannot beat the cause. The price of admission is $75 and is all-inclusive. You will be stuffed with delicious food as you wander through a maze of culinary treasures. Silly carnival-style games insure that nobody leaves empty handed. Last year we left the event with two pounds of coffee and at least 4 bottles of wine. (In case you haven’t figured it out, this is one of our favorite events and FareStart is one of our favorite local charities.)

The event is on Wednesday, July 14th at Bell Harbor’s Elliott Room at Pier 66 . Guest Chef on the Waterfront is a 21+ event that features food from over 70 of the Seattle area’s most talented chefs and purveyors of fine food. Along with great wine, they will be pouring great beer from Elliott Bay Brewing, Georgetown Brewing, Maritime Pacific Brewing, Pike Brewing, and Trade Route Brewing.

FareStart provides meals for homeless and disadvantages people, but it also provides job training and placement in the food service industry. Over the past 18 years, FareStart has provided opportunities for over 3,500 people to transform their lives, while also serving over 4 million meals to disadvantaged men, women, and children.
