Happening this Weekend – Beer Authority Grand Opening.

This is a big weekend in Lake City.

As we reported here, the Beer Authority, Seattle’s newest bottle shop opened last month on Lake City Way. This weekend, April 18th & 19th, they’ll be hosting grand opening parties (noon til 6:00 on Saturday, noon til 5:00 on Sunday). While you’re in the neighborhood, we’d suggest a stop by the brand spankin’ new Hudson Pub (a couple miles up the road, but likely on your way to, or home from, the Beer Authority).

To celebrate the occasion the Beer Authority is slashing prices on every bottle of beer and wine in the store. There are no limits on how much you can buy and no guarantees on how long the supplies will last on the great deals. There will be tastings going on all day on both days. Brewery representatives and industry experts will be on hand. There will also be food pairings with the tastings. And of course… FREE BEER SCHWAG!

Saturday, April 18 schedule:

Noon to 3 pm: Spring beer tastings. Beers include Elysian Maibock, Ommegang Biere de Mars, Ninkasi Spring Reign, Maredsous 6 and much more! Paired with Outrageous nuts assortment of seasoned nuts and short breads.

3 pm to 6 pm: Laughing Buddha (Trade Routes Brewing) tasting with the brewers. Paired with sushi from Sumo Sushi.

Sunday, April 19 schedule:

2 pm to 4 pm: Lazy Boy Brewing tasting with the brewers. Food pairing TBA.

The Beer Authority currently stocks over 300 labels of micros and imports with plans to have over 500 labels by May. Special orders are encouraged, beer tastings and 1/6bbl rentals are on the way. Open M-F: 11am-8pm, Sat: 12-6pm and Sun: 12-5pm. WABL members enjoy 5% Friends and Family Discount.
