Happening This Weekend: Parkway IPA Fest

This weekend, the Parkway Tavern in Tacoma is hosting their annual IPA Festival, happening Saturday, August 27th and Sunday,August 28th from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The Parkway is a Tacoma neighborhood staple, and one of the better beer bars in the greater Puget Sound area. Located in a largely residential neighborhood in a cool historic tavern building that used to be the corner store, it’s really the people and the dedication to serving exceptional craft beer that makes this place one of our favorites.

We stumbled on this festival a few years ago, making a random stop at the Parkway for a beer. What we found: a packed house that spilled out into the front courtyard with good cheer. Ken from Port Townsend brewing manning the BBQ (maybe with bacon-wrapped BBQ Twinkies). A long, but fast-moving, beer line. And an unbelievable lineup of fine, hoppy IPAs.

This year the beer selection sounds as amazing as always – here’s the list of beers you might find on tap as provided by Parkway:
