This is a big month at Brouwer’s Cafe in Seattle. First up, the 13th Annual Hardliver Barleywine Festival takes place this weekend – Saturday, March 14th and Sunday, March 15th. Doors open at 11:00 on both days. Below we share a partial list of the beers you can expect to see.
Later this month, Brouwer’s celebrates its 10th anniversary, on Saturday, March 28th. “We brewed a IIPA with Reuben’s brews, based here in Seattle, dubbed Gobsmacked,” says Nat Pellman, manager at Brouwer’s.
But that’s not all they have planned for the Anniversary party. “We also blended a sour brown beer with New Belgium dubbed Decennium, which is the dutch word for 10. We will also be grabbing some previous Bottleworks and Brouwer’s Anniversary beers as well. Hopworks Urban Brewery also aged three different versions of Abominable, which will be on draft.”
