Hilliard’s Beer will begin distributing its One-Run Series

Hilliard’s Beer is about to begin distributing the One-Run series of collaboration beers. The One-Run Series has nothing to do with the Seattle Mariners and all the one-run games they’ve lost this year; rather, each of the beers in the one-run series represents a collaboration of the entire brewery staff.

The first of the One-Run series beers to be distributed outside the taproom will be an Imperial IPA, the first ever beer of that style brewed by Hilliard’s Beer. They’ll release the beer on Wednesday, August 27th at the Hilliard’s taproom in Ballard. Thereafter, look for it around Seattle.

“The One-Run Series is born out of a monthly collaboration in which the entire brewery staff works together to create a beer they’ve always wanted to make,” said the brewery’s  press release. “The first few efforts produced beers sold in the taproom only, including a Zwickelbier and an American Wheat Ale with Sevilla Orange Peel called El Bronco Blanco.”

“This first foray into the previously untouched land of the hop-head is brewed with Gambrinus ESB and Castle Vienna malts, hopped with Cascade, Simcoe and Summit, and then liberally dry-hopped with Azacca, Cascade, Chinook and Simcoe.”

“The Imperial IPA will be the first One-Run Series beer available for wider distribution through Columbia [Distributing], Hilliard’s Washington Distributor. The brewery plans to keep rolling out new and exciting brews each month and the brew team promises further exploration into the land of heavy hopping throughout the One-Run Series. Keep your eyes peeled for a CDA, other IPA variations, an Irish Red, and anything else that suits their mood.”
