With over 50 taps, Redmond’s Hop House boasts, perhaps, the Eastside’s most robust selection of mostly-local beers on draft. Along with that, a kitchen pumping out tasty grub. Formerly a Growler USA franchise, the owners broke away from the mother ship and rebranded the business back in May of 2017.
On Thursday, August 23rd Hop House welcomes Farmstrong Brewing from Mount Vernon for a brewers night celebration. To commemorate the occasion, and to tempt you gullet, the kitchen has concocted a selection of grilled cheese sandwiches to pair with Farmstrong Brewing’s beers. Here are the details.
Grilled Cheese pairing for Farmstrong Brewer’s Night 8/23
Redmond’s Hop House welcomes Farmstrong Brewing from Mount Vernon for an evening of fun & food! We’re pairing 4 great Farmstrong beers, with 4 quartered delicious grilled cheese sandwiches, fresh from the Hop House kitchen for $15!
Jalapeno & Bacon on sourdough with cream cheese, cheddar, roasted red peppers, smoked bacon and IPA pickled jalapenos: Paired with Farmstrong La Raza Ambar – a mexican style lager with just enough malty sweetness to calm down the jalapenos and enhance the bacon.
Bleu My Mind on sourdough with blue cheese, fontina and honey: Paired with Farmstrong Cover Crop Pale Ale – with a nice sweet nose and the sweeter middle and bitter back end to compliment the sourdough and bluecheese.
Maple Bourbon Ham on rye with swiss, shaved ham, maple bourbon and cider sauce: Paired with Farmstrong ZEEK 2.0 double IPA. With a hoppy ABV kick to balance the sweetness of the ham but the general sweetness of a DIPA will also balance the rye and bourbon.
Ultimate Grilled Cheese on sourdough with Tillamook chedd ar, Fontina, and Parmesan: Paired with Farmstrong Cold Beer Pilsner just because BEER + CHEESE = Amazing!
