Hop Mob Roadshow Kickoff is Today at Brouwer’s

At last the time is here. Hop Mob Triple IPA Roadshow kicks off at Brouwer’s Cafe today at 3:00. This is the first in a series of five events taking place from Tacoma to Lynnwood. Event dates and locations are listed below. We’ve been talking about the Hop Mob Roadshow for weeks now, so hopefully this isn’t news. See our previous posts about the Hop Mob Roadshow to learn more about the project, the events, and the beers.

At each Hop Mob Roadshow event, there will be at least 12 triple IPAs on tap. Exactly how each event will be handled is up to the particular venue. Samplers, flights, full pours, it’s up to each venue. For instance, today at Brouwer’s Cafe you’ll be able to order either 12-ounce pours or 6-ounce pours.

The idea behind the Hop Mob Roadshow was to create a series of events to showcase triple IPAs made by Washington breweries. To prove that our breweries are capable of making triple IPAs that are good enough to make you forget about that other triple IPA that we don’t get up here in Washington anymore. It’s not intended to be a poke at Russian River Brewing or a poke all of the hype surrounding the annual release of Pliny the Younger. The plan is not to inspire people line up around the block, starting at 1:00 a.m. Instead, the plan is to enjoy a lovely selection of lovely, huge and hoppy beers. It’s just a way of saying, “We can do it too.”

Thursday, February 20 at Pike Pub and Brewery (Seattle)
